Summary of the Annual Meeting – February 3, 2019
Our Annual Meeting was held on Sunday, February 3. Eight adult members were present. The yearly report booklet was handed out; if you would like to have a copy of this book, please email the church and one will be sent to you.
We enjoyed a meal of sandwiches and chips. Tim Johnson brought the Epiphany cake; it was decided to discontinue putting a medallion in the cake.
The 2019 Budget was discussed and approved by the attending members. There is a copy of the budget in the booklet you will be receiving.
Elections were held for the up-coming year: JoEllen Doebbert was elected Senior Warden; Sheila Stanton was elected Junior Warden. Tim Johnson was elected to the vestry. Belvin Doebbert was elected delegate to the ECMN convention, with JoEllen Doebbert as alternate. Other returning vestry members are Farren Morical, Karen Reicks and Sheila Stanton.
Thank you to Verlie Sinning, Rachael Sinning and Mark Reicks for serving on the vestry these past few years.

Picnic at Glenwood – August 26, 2012
Every year we have an “old style” church service at the historic St. Paul’s Episcopal Church located on the grounds of the Pope County Museum in Glenwood, MN. We use the 1928 Prayer Book, and the service reminds of us our long history in Minnesota. This year’s service was conducted by Rev. Linnae Hegg and Rev. Tom Sinning.
The service was followed by the annual picnic at the chalet in the park behind the museum grounds. The church provided brats, hot dogs, buns, coffee, and lemonade. It was a lovely day, and everyone had a great time.
I-94 Rest Area Ministry
Every Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day, Emmanuel Church provides a friendly place to take a break. We set up at the rest areas on either side of Alexandria, MN, and provide free coffee, lemonade and cookies to travelers. Both the church members and the visitors enjoy chatting and a snack.

Church Clean-Up on May 1, 2011
Members of Emmanuel stayed after church to do some some spring clean-up and maintenance both inside and outside the church. Even the cold weather did not stop the outside repair work.
